Is your NCEA study plan structured enough to deliver the results you need?

The NCEA Preparation Programme translates achievement standards into a concrete weekly study schedule.

A Year 12 student reviewing a printed NCEA study schedule

A structured path through NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3

The NCEA Preparation Programme is built for students in Years 11 to 13 who are targeting specific credit thresholds, endorsements, or university entrance. At enrolment, each student selects up to four achievement standards they wish to address over the term. The programme then constructs a week-by-week plan mapping each standard's internal and external assessment requirements to sessions, practice tasks, and submission deadlines. Students receive a printed study schedule on the first day, so there is never ambiguity about what needs to be prepared by when. The programme covers English, Mathematics, Science, History, and Geography at all three NCEA levels.

What the NCEA programme will not promise

Tauranganet does not guarantee specific NCEA grades, because final assessment decisions rest with NZQA-registered schools, not with us. What we do guarantee is that every student who completes the full programme will have worked through every practice task for their selected standards, received instructor feedback on at least three drafts of each written assessment, and sat a timed mock examination under authentic conditions. Results depend on consistent student effort alongside our instruction — families should understand this before enrolment.

Key features of the NCEA Preparation Programme

Designed around the actual mechanics of NCEA, not generic exam technique.

Standards-mapped study schedule

A printed weekly plan tied to each selected achievement standard's internal deadlines and the external examination timetable, issued on day one.

Three-draft written feedback

For every written internal assessment, students receive written instructor feedback on up to three successive drafts before the school submission deadline.

Timed mock examination

A full-length mock examination sat under NCEA conditions, with a marked script returned within 48 hours, forms part of every term's programme.

Five subject areas covered

English, Mathematics, Science, History, and Geography are available at Levels 1, 2, and 3, with subject-specialist instructors for each area.

“I enrolled for NCEA Level 2 English and Maths in Term 2 last year. By the time externals came around I had sat three full mock papers in Maths and had two complete drafts of my English portfolio marked with detailed comments. I earned Excellence in English and Merit in Maths — results I genuinely did not think were within reach in January.”
